Facebook-Like-Button

This plugin adds a Like-Button after every post/page you choose (you can exclude Posts/Pages/…, These excluded sites will have no Like-Button). The Like-Button-Widget includes a little Like-Button-Generator to make it easier for you to get a Like-Button to your sidebar. It also adds a Shortcode for your like-Button. It is also possible to choose the XFBML or the iframe-Button. You could also choose the position of your like-button within the post/page.

Shortcode

It also adds a Shortcode [like] or [like url=http://www.gb-world.net] which inserts the code for your Facebook-Like-Button. You can create a like-Button with the FB-LB-Generator on the settings-page. After that it is possible to create some Open-Graph-Protocol-Meta-Tags which will be written in the -section. Also the JavaSDK will be used for your Buttons. But only if you enter a valid Facebook-AppID into the AppID-Box.

Now you can put the shortcode [like] or with the url-attribute ([like url=http://www.gb-world.net]) where ever you want to insert the Facebook-Like-Button.

Widget

There is also a new Widget available. Go to the Widget-Page and add the Facebook-Like-Button-Generator to your sidebar. Enter all your information into the FB-LB-Generator – that’s it.

Live-Support

Since 3.0 there is a new GB-World-Page available with our Like-Box. You can post your bugs, issues, support-requests now also into this like-box and not only into our forum.

Just found out an issue maybe related with this plugin. It was happening that on my page.php, the_title() wasn’t outputting any output. So after some research I discovered that on those pages, $post (and of course $post->ID as well) was empty (despite when page.php loads the loop, everything inside the loop works tho). When I deactivated this plugin, suddently $post->ID was up and running again, and the_title() showed up again too. So i suppose that there is some query/wp_query/query_post/get_posts in your plugin that is not resetted at the right time and when the pages loads it doesn’t have the right elements until it reaches the loop again.
I hope that this can help you in some way :) Good job and keep going with your project.

    Hi,

I had a problem with the plugin. Even though the plugin was activated on my webpage apart from the custom title I set for the button nothing else appeared, so I went on to settings and checked the RESET Widget-Options. Now the plugin works fine, but I am unable to change the title of the button from FACEBOOK-LIKE-BUTTON to anything else. When I go to the Expert-Mode tab and try to modify the Debug-Widget Button column after I hit save everything gets restored to “default”

    Thanks
